After a very busy November and December we started the new year with lots of plans for the shop. We opened the shop about 18 months so it was definitely time for a lick of paint and a new look. I can't say it was the best time to completely overhaul the shop as it's also the busiest time of the year for buying with all the trade fairs but there was no time like the present.
After much deliberation we painted the shop in Cornforth White, Farrow and Ball and I absolutely love it. There's no denying I love grey but as we know there are many different shades, so getting the right one was crucial to the feel of the shop. Cornforth White has a lovely warm tone to it so it doesn't make the shop feel too cold. We also fitted the shop with shelving units so we can maximise the merchandising space, and left the middle clear for our new range of bespoke furniture and upholstery.
After lots of late nights we finally finished and it's been a great success, the feedback from customers has been fantastic so it was definitely worth those 2am finishes, although I doubt Mr Hudson will want to see another paint brush for a very long time!
