Description

Our Brass Mills look and feel special, a kitchen item most definitely to be kept out on display. A touch of luxury, these mills have been with us for years now and we don't tire of them.

Handmade from brass to traditional methods from Greece, these beautiful traditional mills grind to the best specification for aroma and texture using a 3DCut system grinding mechanism.

Once you receive your mill, you'll find the handle stored in the main body of the mill - it often gets missed but we've enclosed some instructions too.

We want you to cherish your mills for years to come, they do require a bit of love from time to time so for more details on how to care for your mill visit our blog post.

Brass is also known for its tendency to tarnish, similar to rust, tarnish is a feature that is both loved and hated by brass lovers - some customers love the patina made by the tarnish and chose not to clean them.

Chemicals in tap water and air, as well as those found on our fingers and in food, are also corrosive. Salt, in particular, can tarnishes brass quickly so we advise to regularly clean your mills using a brass cleaner like brasso.

Care Guide

Prior to first use it is recommended to clean the mechanism by grinding a small quantity through the mill and discarding. The outside of the brass mills will naturally oxidize and develop a patina over time through use and exposure to salt, moisture and other environmental factors. If you wish to retain a bright, as-new polished look, ordinary metal cleaners can be used with a soft cloth to polish the outside of the mill. Never wash/submerge the mill in water, as water will corrode the mechanism

FAQ

I've received my Brass Mills, but can't find the Handle?

The handle is stored in the body of the mill for transportation. Just simple unscrew the top nut and lift up the cone head. You'll see the handle inside.

How do I Clean my Brass Salt & Pepper Mills

If you wish to keep them looking as shiney as possible we recommend a metal cleaner like Brasso and a lint free cloth.

Will the Brass Change over Time?

Yes, and that is part of their beauty! Our mills are finished with a permeable water-based lacquer. This allows the brass to develop a rich, natural patina over time, giving your set a unique, antique character that reflects your home’s story.

How Does the 3DCut Mechanism WorK?

Unlike standard mills that crush peppercorns, our Greek-made 3DCut mechanism uses a multi-stage process to crack and grind the spice. This preserves the essential oils and aromas, resulting in a fresher, more flavorful seasoning.
